New Goals, New Year

I’m thinking a lot about a return to regular blogging, and a post on my plan for embracing 12 new practices for 2012 will be the start. Until then, I’m pinning inspiration on thisĀ Pinterest board and finding loads of inspiration for this goal-setting time of year. What are you dreaming up for the year to come?

Daily meditation practice. I am trying to feel optimistic but I will say I have been trying for this since I was 10 years old, year after year, so I would welcome any insight or inspiration as to how to actually make it a reality. I also hope to finish more books and may consider some ways to tone my body. But I don’t want to go crazy….

This time of year makes me feel so frustrated. Year after year I keep finding myself in a place where my “goals” are just doing the basics. Stay on top of mail better, donate excess stuff, do some form of exercise, go on a date with my husband more than 2x a year, cook healthier meals, etc. I’m little tired of my goals being domestic and basic in nature. Maybe when the kids are older….? How do you find the energy EML?

Mine are pretty similar to what both of you are saying. As you’ll see when I post soon, I’m picking one goal a month as kind of a test. Some will stick, some will be temporary.

I’m considering following asimplerlife.com. Just now beginning to look at it, so we shall see. For assorted reasons, our lives have turned upside down more than once in the last few years. I’m aspiring to find myself in a rut in 2012.
Anxious to follow along as you map out your plan. Can I copy off your paper?
